Canton Junction Update Page

Canton Junction Will be Moving
In Late October 1999.  These
Pictures Were Taken 9/25/99.

This photo was taken from the handicap access ramp.  The rail train is going through
the station heading towards Boston.  Each rail on this train is about 1 continuous mile.

In this photo you can see the new foundation under construction for the Junction.

Here you can see the wooden blocking which is supporting the station.  One of the workmen
on the site is from North Carolina ans has been involved in moving a number of litghthouses
along the east coast, including two on Cape Cod.

Just another photo of the front of the old 1892 R.R. Station.
